The event is held only once or twice a year, and represents an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to explore the facilities at Sandia, meet with managers who are looking to hire new talent, and interview for job positions all at Sandia’s expense. The only requirements are that potential candidates possess a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field or be within two semesters of graduation, and be able to obtain a Department of Energy security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Students who would like to participate should apply to one of two online postings, found on our “Careers” website at: http://www.sandia.gov/careers (click “Job Search”, then “Search for Openings”, then “Advanced Search” in the window that pops up and enter the job posting in the “Job Opening ID:” field), and make sure they upload a resume/CV (listing GPAs for all degrees) and cover letter to the online system. The two postings correspond to our two primary locations: Albuquerque, NM (posting #: 638838), and Livermore, CA (posting #: 638932). The dates for the event in New Mexico are October 29th to November 1st, and November 6th to November 8th for the California event. Please note that these postings close on September 30.
